Capita The Navigator Snowboard 2024
Riding powder is like hiking into a backcountry camping trip. Once you're past the trailhead, if you have the right gear, there's nothing better. If you packed the wrong kit, there's nothing worse. The Navigator is your fire starter; it is your compass that never fails. It is essential to the experience. For 2024, this powder-annihilating series has been overhauled with more robust construction to enhance ride control while retaining its overall playful nature that riders worldwide have grown to love. Inlaid Cork Dampeners have been die-cut into custom-modified forward sections to dampen vibrations typical with oversized powder shapes. Retaining a Parabolic side cut and a sinking tapered tail to swim through the soft stuff, the wide-frame rockered nose naturally floats above deep snow. The resulting shape transforms tiring powder days into emotionally fulfilling outdoor experiences.
Technology
- Resort V2 Directional Camber: This revolutionary all-terrain shape provides the best of both worlds. It has a raised camber platform through the inserts to retain high-speed edge hold through variable terrain, elevated contact points to land and float in powder, and Flat Kick tip and tail arcs for faster, more aggressive transitions.
- Directional Flex
- Flex Rating: 5.5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
- Directional Shape
- Parabolic Sidecut: A parabolic sidecut consists of a mirror-symmetrical curve. In snowboard terms, this design creates a board with a deeper sidecut and a quicker turning point in the center compared to radial arcs.
- Hover Core™: This Paulownia / Poplar blend is an energetic premium core that's ultralight and strong, with excellent damping properties.
- Magic Bean Resin: This advanced resin system has a bio-content of 60% renewable, agricultural raw material and is produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions. In production, it has a low-temperature requirement with a high yield output. Poppy, powerful, and extremely durable, MAGIC BEAN™ resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing a decrease in the wood core thickness. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return.
- Inlaid Cork Dampers: Reduces chatter on the nose to help you blast through pow and choppy snow at high speed with increased confidence
- Holysheet™ Tri/Bi Fiberglass: Developed over a three-year span, this advanced resin system has a bio-content of 60% renewable, agricultural raw material. It is plant based that does not compete with primary food sources and is produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions. In production, it has a low-temperature requirement with a high yield output. This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable.
- 2 x 30mm Technora™ Flax Boosters: With an excellent tensile strength and fatigue resistance, Technora™ is an aramid fiber that functions as a shock absorber and energy source when integrated into a snowboard construction layup. CAPiTA have interwoven Technora™ with an extremely lightweight and all-natural Flax fiber to invigorate maximum turning and ollie power.
- Full ABS1000 Sidewalls
- Powerdrive™ Base: Dynamic and durable, easy to maintain and reliable, this "sintruded" base material is electric through the trees and fast over the flats. . Featuring attributes of both sintered and extruded base material the POWDER DRIVE™ base was exclusively formulated for the extra-wide chassis of the Spring Break Powder Division and were designed with the powder lifestyle in min
- 360 Degree HRC48 Steel Edges
- PLT™ Topsheet Technology: PLT™ technology is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard.
- Multitech™ Level 4 DeepSpace™ Silkscreen + PAM16000™ Topsheet w/ Metallic Underlay
- Multitech™ Level 4 DeepSpace™ Silkscreen: The DEEPSPACE™ Design Theory takes advantage of the thickness of a transparent topsheet. Strategically layering ink on multiple levels from the top and the bottom imbues graphics with a sense of life through depth.
