It has a dedicated panel for your emergency equipment, a rescue loop on its waist strap, a whistle on its sternum strap, and a holster for your shovel.

Beyond the whole “mortal danger” thing, we prepped this pack for the ultimate in convenience. Haul your skis or snowboard in the diagonal holster or use the vertical holster for your board. Even with your skis or board mounted, the back zipper lets you access stuff with ease. We created a spot for your hydration reservoir, plus an internal route for the tube so it won’t freeze-up on you. You’ll also have places for your goggle, camera, radio/phone and more. This pack has plenty of space for extras, so you can take your backcountry snow session as far from the civilized world as sanity and common sense allow.
