The Volkl Kendo is a fantastic ski for the advanced to expert skier who is looking for a mid-fat ski that loves to make medium to long radius turns on the groomed trails, and venture off into the powder once in a while. At 89 mm underfoot it is ideal for ripping up smooth groomers, or even some that have been chewed up with skier traffic, or fresh snow. The tip rocker will engage you in turns quicker, absorb the negative vibrations caused by crud, and keep you on top of the powder. Camber underfoot will give you tons of rebound and spring into your next turn, and keep you stable as fly down the mountain. The Kendo uses Volkls Power Construction, the very same that is used in all of their race specific skis, for a strong and consistent grip on the snow, and stability that is unlike any other ski brand. The Sensorwood Core has vertically laminated stringers of poplar, and beechwood, for a damp and powerful feel. If you like a ski that can not be shaken at high speeds, will hook up and turn very easily when you want it to, and can take on anything that gets in your way like bumps, crud, or snowboarders the Volkl Kendo is the ski for you.
