Happy Thursday 2/27 Lifts Open 9am Getboards opens 7:30am
Still enjoying nice spring-like conditions out there with above-normal temperatures and dry weather for now. A series of Pacific storms will bring a chance for rain and snow showers beginning this weekend, and continuing off & on through much of next week. Each successive storm should be a little stronger and colder than the previous, but the exact details on timing and intensity need to be ironed out. A weak offshore flow will persist into Thursday under mostly sunny skies with a high near 60 degrees. East to northeast winds 5-15 mph at times with gusts to 20 mph possible. Expect partly cloudy skies on Friday, a little cooler and breezy as highs drop back into the 50's, west winds gusting 10-20 mph during the afternoon. Our first low-pressure system will approach the area Friday night with increasing clouds and winds. As this weak upper-level low moves through on Saturday, there could be just enough instability to spark a shower or thunderstorm, mainly over the mountains. The snow level will likely run above about 8,000 feet, but we could see some small hail or graupel, accumulation will remain fairly light. Showers will taper off later Saturday into early Sunday with another round of showers forecast from a 2nd low arriving Sunday night into Monday. We should see the snow level lower to around 6,000 feet this go around with the potential for a few inches of snow! Turning colder with highs in the upper 30's to lower 40's next week as lows drop into the 20's. Another storm is expected around the middle of next week with colder air and additional snowfall possible. Will fine-tune the forecast in the coming day so check in often for updates. Thats it for our weather report! Stay tuned for more daily forecast updates, have a great Thursday!
