The Optisym is for all snowboarders who enjoy fun, low-impact, buttery, friendly freestyle snowboarding: Turning everything into a feature, even a groomed run or the knuckles of park landings, capable of switching from airtime tricks to flat ground tricks within seconds. This year, we have upgraded the Optisym to a Sintered Base for an even quicker, friendly freestyle experience!

• Shape: Aysm Twin – Effortless turns and full control. As one of many Nitro inventions, the Asym Twin shape is based on the knowledge that your knees don’t bend the same way in both directions and therefore, you cannot easily angle the board the same way in your toe- or heelside turns. A deeper heel sidecut radius compensates this, providing an even turning feel an more control when setting up for those relevant knuckle tricks.
• Camber: Cam-Out – Fun, responsive and forgiving. Our Cam-Out Camber is basically a Trüe Camber with early and smooth transitions into tip and tail. The result is a fun and responsive board that turns on the spot and is forgiving, even after that 713.5° landing!

• Profile: Whiplash Core Profile – Maximum ollie power. Our Whiplash Core Profile features reduced thickness between the inserts with added meat outside your feet for maximum ollie power, while maintaining a perfect press flex.
• Width: Mid-Wide – Exactly enough platform for most boot sizes. Mid-Wide boards provide that little extra in width for less toe and heel drag, additional flotation and that extra bit of confidence when leaning into these power carves on icy slopes.
• Sidecut: Dual Degressive – Smooth and forgiving. The Dual Degressive Sidecut blends a smaller radius in the center with two larger ones in the tip and tail, making it loose and playful. Nitro´s most forgiving sidecut.

• Flex: 6/10

• Powercore II – Enhanced Performance and Extra Strength. The Powercore II is a tip-to-tail poplar wood core with additional beech wood stringers for unrivalled strength, smooth response, and insane pop.
• Sintered EcoSpeed HD Base – Sustainable, Durable and Fast. Utilizing a recycled material compound, we have been able to achieve the same abrasion resistance, increased wax absorption and on-snow speeds with our Sintered EcoSpeed HD base as on other comparable sintered bases.
• Recycled Railkiller Edge – Your Secret Weapon on Rails. Our Railkiller Edge is now made from 50% recycled steel. Twice as thick and twice as strong as a standard edge, it is built for durability and performance.
• Ureshred Sidewalls – Durability and Feel. Just like Skate wheels and bushings, our Ureshred sidewalls are made from Polyurethane, which makes them highly resistant against impact and abrasion as well as giving them excellent dampening characteristics.
