Wear clothes and shoes you do not mind getting splashed. Feel free to leave your shoes on our dock if you choose our private dock location.
We offer dry box rentals and dry bags so you can bring your phones and take pictures on the water!

Mornings are usually the calmest and best for beginners. Later in the day, wind can pick up, so checking the forecast before your rental is always a good idea.
We recommend reserving ahead, especially on busy summer days. It is the easiest way to lock in your rental time and know exactly where you are going. Reserve online.
Please arrive about 15 minutes early so you have time to sign waivers and check in before your rental starts. Arrive 15-30 minutes early if visiting our Boulder Bay location on a Saturday or holiday weekend to allow extra time for parking.
Our private dock location by Veteran’s Park is the easiest option. Our staff will help you launch and the kayaks are already on the water. Boulder Bay is a self-launch from shore.

Single kayaks are great for solo riders who want their own space on the water. Tandem/double kayaks are a popular choice for couples, friends, and shared rides. Free parking is offered at both kayak rental locations. There is a $3 lake permit fee per kayak or paddleboard.
Our single kayaks hold up to 300 lbs. Double kayaks hold up to 425 lbs total. Single pedal kayaks hold up to 275 lbs, and double pedal kayaks hold up to 475 lbs total, with a 275 lb seat total. View our reservation form for information on capacities of each kayak.
Yes. Our double kayaks can hold up to 2 adults plus a small child or pet, and you can add a 3rd seat for $5 for a small child. The form also notes that in the paddle + pedal special, that added child seat is for a child under 50 lbs.
Kids 12 and older may paddle alone on standard kayaks as long as they stay within view of an adult. For pedal kayaks, kids must be 16 or older to pedal alone within view of an adult.
Yes. Our kayak rentals are pet friendly, and dogs can come at no extra cost. Dog life jackets are also available to rent for $8.
