We started off the week a little cooler and breezy out there today, expect some warming on Tuesday as a weak transitional ridge builds through the area. This will be followed by another inside slider midweek that will bring cooler temperatures and gusty north-northeast winds at times. Unfortunately, this system will remain too far to our northeast to generate any precip across the area. Looking at clear skies this evening with light winds and lows in the 20s. Expect a few high clouds on Tuesday, otherwise mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the mid-50s, southwest winds gusting 10-20 mph during the afternoon. Winds will shift from the north on Wednesday with the passage of that low, setting up some decent cold air advection. This will knock daytime temperatures back into the lower 40s through Thursday as lows dip into the upper teens and 20s. We’ll also experience gusty north-northeast winds of 10-20 mph at times with dry weather. This offshore flow should also support good snowmaking conditions for our local resorts through early Friday with weak-moderate Santa Ana winds below passes & canyons. Higher pressure will once again strengthen Friday into the weekend for fair and warmer weather.
