Faction Prodigy 2 Skis 2026
The Prodigy 2 is a timeless fan favorite and best-seller, and for good reason. It is the ultimate all-mountain ski with park DNA, designed to help you pop, stomp, and surf across any terrain. Its poplar core provides the perfect balance of softness and pop for buttering slushy rollers, while maintaining stiffness underfoot with a 98mm waist for serious carving.
For this newest model, Faction has integrated a carbon/rubber stomp pad to absorb all hits and vibrations, making your ride and creative expression smoother and more sure-footed than ever.
Features
- Rocker – Camber – Rocker
- Flex Rating – 7 (1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff)
- Elliptical Sidecut – Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths, angles and mounting positions.
- Lightweight Poplar Wood Core – Poplar is a light-colored, medium-weight, and durable softwood with excellent flex and vibration absorption. It enhances performance by providing impressive pop, buttering, and stability. Poplar ensures skis offer exceptional grip and torsional stability on the downhill and in the park.
- Carbon Rubber Stomp Pad – For extra absorption on those huge hits.
- Full Strength Sidewall – A construction that places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet.
- Sintered UHMW Base
- XL 2.5mm Edges – Fractions of a millimeter might not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges add an extra 25% of height to Faction’s standard 2mm edge, making for a stronger and more durable ski.
- Mustache Flex – The ‘Moustache Flex’ pattern is ideal for most skiers. It offers stability in front of and behind the binding for solid edge hold, with a smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to absorb bumps and snow debris. Perfect for progression and easier turn initiation and finish.
- Anti-Chip Micro-Cap – The Anti-chip Micro Cap protects the ski’s tips and tails from wear and tear. Where the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, this delicate area is shielded by the Micro Cap. This protects from chipping and additional sidewall damage, each day you set out on the mountain.
- Binding Compatibility – We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
