Step-by-step explanation of how to accurately measure your foot length
1. Place a sheet of paper on the floor and against a wall.
2. Make sure you are wearing thin ski socks. Always make sure to wear thin socks while skiing – if you wear thicker ski socks, you will get colder faster and have pressure points.
3. Wearing thin ski socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.
4. Then use a pen to draw a line directly at the end of your big toe. Repeat for the other foot.
5. Using a ruler, measure the distances between the wall and the lines you drew in centimeters. Use the longer distance to determine your size. Your centimeter length equals your mondo point size.
Info
Knowing the length of your foot (hence, mondo point) is only one measurement out of many that are required to genuinely know which boot is right for you. Your boot is an extremely important part of your skiing equipment and if you’re in the wrong one, it can lead to a lot of discomfort while skiing. And because we want you to enjoy this amazing sport as much as possible, we recommend visiting your local Atomic dealer, who can help match you with a boot that suits your unique biomechanical needs.
