The Prodigy 1 is designed for skiers seeking precise handling in the park and on-piste. Featuring an award-winning elliptical sidecut, these skis offer effortless turn initiation at any speed, while full strength sidewalls deliver exceptional edge hold. The Prodigy 1 is 88mm underfoot, enhancing its precision on hard-packed features.
A unique construction of a poplar wood and ash wood core provides the strength needed to withstand heavy hits. For this newest model, Faction has integrated a carbon/rubber stomp pad to absorb vibrations, making your ride and creative expression smoother and more sure-footed than ever. Paired with XL 2.5mm edges, the Prodigy 1 skis are built for lasting durability.

- Rocker-Camber-Rocker – Tip = 315mm, Camber = 3mm, Tail = 250mm @ 178
- Flex Rating – 7 (1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff)
- Elliptical Sidecut – Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths, angles and mounting positions.
- Poplar and Ash Wood Core
- Carbon Rubber Stomp Pad – For extra absorption on those huge hits.
- Full Strength Sidewall – A construction that places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet.
- Base – Sintered UHMW Base
- XL 2.5mm Edges – Fractions of a millimeter might not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges add an extra 25% of height to Faction’s standard 2mm edge, making for a stronger and more durable ski.
- Mustache Flex – The ‘Moustache Flex’ pattern is ideal for most skiers. It offers stability in front of and behind the binding for solid edge hold, with a smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to absorb bumps and snow debris. Perfect for progression and easier turn initiation and finish.
- Anti-Chip Micro-Cap – The Anti-chip Micro Cap protects the ski’s tips and tails from wear and tear. Where the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, this delicate area is shielded by the Micro Cap. This protects from chipping and additional sidewall damage, each day you set out on the mountain.
- Binding Compatibility – We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
